Graupner 'Electra' Part Kit

These parts are for the original and pretty 1955 Graupner ‘Electra’ Single Channel Model - Best Nr 1680.

Model Specification:

  • Brand:                      Graupner designed by FW Biesterfeldin 1955 - Best Nr 1680.

  • Type:                        Radio control cabin model 4/5 channel

  • Wing span:             54”

  • Motor:                     .15 engines, diesel and glow-plug. / Electric conversion

The box contains the following 57 laser-cut parts

  • 49 Wing ribs cut in hand-selected 2.0mm balsa

  • 3 fuselage formers cut in 3.0mm lite ply

  • 2 wing ribs cut in 3.0mm lite ply

  • 1 brace cut in 1.5mm aircraft ply

  • 2 root ribs cut in 1.5mm aircraft ply

  • Some of the original thicker parts are now laminated from thinner sheets.

  • Ribs are cut with small 'vent' holes to alleviate the 'ballooning' issue when film covering.

  • No building plan is included - this is not a full kit.
