The Hawk E4 is an introductory electric control line combat model designed by Tim Hobbins for a new Electric Combat class. It is roughly XL vintage combat size and optimised for electric power.

  • 16 x wing ribs + 4 doublers (3.0mm balsa)

  • 22 x LE riblets (2.4mm balsa)

  • 4 x centre ribs + 4 x nose ribs (5.0mm balsa)

  • 2 motor mount (6mm lite ply)

  • 2 belcrank mount (3mm birch ply)

  • 4 x fuselage doublers (3.0mm Liteply)

  • 2 x tail extension + 2 elevator (3.0mm balsa)

  • 2 x bell crank support plate (3mm Birch ply)

  • 9mm pine quadrant (leading edge)

  • 6mm sq pine (trailing edge)

  • 6mm balsa for tip blocks (6.0 x 100 x 185mm balsa sht)

  • 1.5mm balsa for wing gussets (1.5 x 100 x 160mm balsa sht)

  • 2.4mm balsa for battery box (2.4 x 100 x 150mm balsa sht)

  • Acrylic bell crank (available from Hobbins Hobbies)

  • Covering material - (mylar recommended) 

  • Electric motor, ESC, 3s Lipo battery

  • Boat transmitter (motor on/off - Ch.5)

  • Braid >0.25mm 25lb braid lines (14m centre to handle face)

Optional 6.0mm liteply wing Jig parts (8 x assemblies) - available for £12 extra with kit if requested.

Optional Belcrank assembly kit - available for £5.95 each extra, if requested.
