This is Not a full kit, no plan is included and additional materials will be required to finish the model.

Dave Hughes's charming little intermediate slope soarer is a real delight to fly. Originally designed for rudder-only but now with modern Radio equipment and ailerons, the 'Soarcerer' will do everything a model of this type theoretically should not - rolls, bunts, inverted flying and guaranteed first-try spins. It stays airborne on the merest whiff of lift - and is also quite happy in winds of up to 40 mph! Don't ask for the whys and wherefores, it just happened!

And my first aileron slope model aged eight!!

The box contains 28 laser-cut parts as follows:

  • 24 wing ribs parts cut from hand-selected 1.5mm balsa

  • 8 dihedral braces cut in 1.5mm aircraft ply for both aileron and rudder/elevator versions.

  • For simplicity and cheapness, root ribs are duplicated in 1.5mm balsa.

  • Ribs are also cut with a small knock-out servo cable hole if required.

  • No plan included.
